Pick-Up and Drop-Off at Reading Station

The front of Reading Station is accessed from Forbury Road, the rear from the Vastern Road/ George Street roundabout.  There is a small underground car park at the front and a 1275 place car park at the rear. There are no other points around the station for drop-off or pick-up of rail passengers.

There are arrangements for free short-term parking for passenger pick-up and drop-off at both front and rear, for 20 minutes at the front and 30 minutes at the rear. Remember to take a free ticket from the Pay and Display machine and to display it in your windscreen to show time of arrival.

The front car-park affords easy access to the rail-air bus lounge and the main station concourse for ticket purchase and direct access to platforms 1-4B, while the rear car park has access at level 9 onto the railway overbridge from which platforms 5-10 and then the station concourse and other platforms are readily reached.
