Known locally as Savacenter, the Calcot Retail Park centres on a major Sainsbury's superstore with other retail including Boots, Next and Sports Direct. In addition, the location has planning permission for an IKEA store which is expected to open in 2014.

Reading Cycle Routes R6 and R50 and R60 terminate at Prospect Park. Connections via quite routes and local cycleways connect along the A4 and through Fords Farm/Calcot.
